Affordable Housing Apartments

Green Hills Community, in partnership with  Episcopal Retirement Homes, received a $9.5 million tax credit to renovate all 76 of its affordable housing apartments. The work was completed in November 2015. 

Each apartment features the following: ​
  • ​Electric heat pump and central air 
  • Stack washer and dryer 
  • Dishwashers 
  • Walk-in showers with grab bars 
  • New flooring (vinyl plank living room and kitchen, tile bathroom and carpeted bedrooms) 
  • New windows with mini-blinds 
  • New cabinets with pulls 
  • Energy Star lighting 
  • TV and phone jacks in bedrooms 
  • Larger porches with rails 
  • New exterior doors 
  • Emergency call system in each unit 
  • A 38- to 40-gallon water heater in each unit

​Of the 76 units, 19 will have two bedrooms while 57 apartments are one-bedroom units. Nine units are fully handicap accessible.

Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility for residency is available for those 62 years of age or older, handicap/disabled, regardless of age.
